The Southern Alberta Institute of Urology (SAIU) is a private (non-AHS) institute located on the grounds of the Rockyview General Hospital. SAIU consolidates the private clinics of all the urology specialists serving adult patients in Calgary and Southern Alberta.

Opened on September 30th, 2010, SAIU is the largest and most comprehensive urological centre in Canada. It is also the home of the Prostate Cancer Centre, and vesia [Alberta Bladder Centre].

Our physicians

Comprehensive care

SAIU is the largest and most comprehensive urological centre in Canada. It is also home of the Prostate Cancer Centre and vesia [Alberta Bladder Centre].

Collaborative care

SAIU is a private institute. We are not part of AHS, but we collaborate with our AHS colleagues and use the surgical facilities at the Rockyview General Hospital.

Research-driven care

We aim to improve patient care. That’s why our urologists are involved in clinical trials and basic-science research.
